Le Pigeon is Located at 738 E. Burnside. We are happy and proud to have built two new oblong solid alder dining tables to enhance the dining experience at this amazing restaurant, where Gabriel Rucker performed a miracle by making (among many other foods) a hamburger for me that melted my heart. (And everyone who knows my food preferences can attest to the significance of this.) We also stripped the failing crust finish from their 10 foot long solid walnut dining table, and properly rebuilt the breadboard ends (to fix and prevent cracking from seasonal wood movement).

The walnut has aged in the sunlight, as walnut should, and is golden and gorgeous. The new tops received the farmhouse treatment – distressing, so that all subsequent dings would blend in, and rich brown finish. All three have our “living finish” which penetrates deeply and truly protects the wood in an amazing way while letting it age gracefully under heavy use.

Suzanne and Buck do beautiful work. They approached it with the idea of making tabletops that would wear better than what we had in the restaurant. We were intrigued and gave them a shot. First they made 2 tabletops for us that not only are gorgeous, but seem to miraculously improve with wear. After that we commissioned them to refinish and rebuild a large 12 person table we have in the restaurant. Once again we were thrilled with the results. We are now big fans of Inventia design.
